The basic reading texts and training techniques involved with the All Is Well Campaign: Help Me To Read Program are designed by professional educators for use by non-professional volunteer tutors. Anyone who can read well and has the patience and desire to teach someone else how to read, can be effectively trained to use the textbooks and techniques in just a few hours. Schools, churches, and community outreach programs can use teenagers and senior citizens as reading reinforcers once they are trained in the use of the ABC Look At Me Reading! Learning Packet. These volunteer tutors can help struggling children not only improve their basic reading skills, but help many of them regain their self-worth. A by-product of volunteering is that many of the teenage tutors discover a sense of purpose and senior citizen tutors feel respected and valued.
